AMBITION: Limited edition release of Sudbury’s most successful beer, featuring branding and product design inspired by the strength, grit, and legacy of miners working in the nickel mines of Sudbury, Ontario. Design combines pop art with old photos from 80’s.

What the Nickel Bonus Was?

The nickel bonus was a profit-sharing bonus paid to miners based on the price of nickel, hours worked, and company profitability rather than just straight wages. It was negotiated by unions (like the United Steelworkers) starting in the 1980s as a way to share in strong nickel market years when traditional wage increases were limited.
